To complete this tutorial you will need at least two images.

To begin with, put two images in one document. And position one on top of another.

Add mask² to the top most layer. |

Reset and switch colors (press 'D' and then 'X'). Using the Linear Gradient¹ tool, make a diagonal gradient on the mask starting from the bottom right corner of the image. That's it! Simple, right?
